Tjøme løpeklubbI like to be physically active, but have struggled with painful knees since the summer of 2016. Started to do some strength training in the autumn of 2016 and was then able to continue running somewhat, but never fully recovered and got more and more pain in my knees. The runs became fewer and shorter, until it stopped altogether in December 2019.
I then considered dropping running as a form of activity, but wanted to give it another chance and started with Aleksander in March 2020. Aleksander is good at following up, motivating and providing reassurance that the treatment works, but will take time.
The key is continuity and proper training with good exercises and the right load. A few months of training paid off. From not being able to run at all from December 2019 to summer 2020, I now run 3 times a week, plus cycle a little outside.
Have started to see strength training as an important part of an active everyday life, instead of just some "boring stuff" I had to do to be able to run 🙂
